Two men appeared at Hull Crown Court last week and pleaded guilty to two counts of attempted robbery.
Lewis Patterson (31) and Dean Stanley (34), both of Hull, entered a store in the North Point Shopping Centre on Friday 19 February 2021 and threatened a cashier and demanded money. The following day they entered the same shop and again demanded money from a cashier.
The duo also pleaded guilty to a robbery that occurred at a store on Cheltenham Avenue, Hull, on Saturday 20 February 2021.
Patterson was sentenced to 5 years and 3 months in jail, with Stanley sentenced to 4 years and 10 months.
