Description
Grants are available for community organisations in Hull and East Riding of Yorkshire to support projects that aim to reduce health inequalities, improve self-management of care, and support volunteer opportunities that improve health and wellbeing within communities.

Objectives of Fund
The programme seeks to meet the following aims:
Reducing health inequalities
Health inequalities are unfair and avoidable differences in health across the population, and between different groups within society. An example could be a non-English speaking person unable to access health information, due to it not being provided in their language or someone who is unable to access an activity due to location or other avoidable barriers.
Improving self-management of health
Helping people to be in control of their health and enabling them to support their own health needs.
Supporting volunteering opportunities
Providing volunteer opportunities with the appropriate guidance and training, that help to improve the health and wellbeing of volunteers and the people they support.
Value Notes
Grants of £500 to £2,000 are available.
Who Can Apply
Applications will be accepted from community organisations based in Hull and East Riding of Yorkshire.
To be eligible the organisation must:
- Be properly constituted and have a bank account.
- Be registered as an organisation and show its activity on the Beecan funding platform at www.beecan.org
- Provide a detailed project outline and accurate budget.
Restrictions
Although no exclusions are specified, potential applicants may contact HEY Smile Foundation to discuss their eligibility and the programme’s requirements.

The fund seeks to support projects that aim to reduce health inequalities, improve self-management of care, and support volunteer opportunities that improve health and wellbeing within communities.

- Training costs.
- Insurance.

- Staff costs (general).
- Professional fees (general).

- Volunteer expenses.
- Volunteer support costs.
- Running costs (linked to project).
- Staff costs (linked to project).
- Professional fees (linked to project).
- Transport provision.
