Deadline 26th November
Fixed Term until December 2018
Hull City Council Healthy Lifestyles Team are looking to recruit a Starting Well Activator, (a pre and post-natal physical activity and fitness based deliverer) as part of their Sport England funded ‘Us Mums’ project.
The project, funded until December 2018, aims to increase physical activity participation rates across Hull amongst females who are expectant mums and those who have recently had a baby. In turn, the project will contribute towards a reduction in health inequalities by capitalising upon this unique life stage when health may be a priority.
The Starting Well Activator will create and deliver an attractive programme of physical activity to target inactive and sedentary female parents of Hull. The role will be a combination of physical activity session delivery and project co-ordination. You will be required to build partnerships with external agencies in areas such as midwifery, health visiting and children’s centres amongst others whilst taking responsibility for monitoring and evaluation of the project.
The team are seeking applications from those who are passionate about health and fitness, have a background in delivering physical activity and fitness initiatives, as well as those who have the ability to build positive relations with the community inspiring and enthusing local residents to engage with the project.
This post will require a flexible approach with the ability to work daytime and the occasional evening / weekend. Job shares / reduced hours will be considered and training will be given if required.
