The weather’s a bit unpredictable, it’s hot and muggy, and whether the sun stays out or hides behind the clouds, it’s tempting to head to the water to cool off. That’s especially true for younger people who might be dared to jump in or feel pressure to show off.
But water can be dangerous and things can go wrong very quickly.

However you end up in the water, knowing how to float can save your life.
Make sure you know the steps to Float To Live:
🔹 Tilt your head back, keeping ears submerged
🔹 Relax and breathe normally
🔹 Spread arms and legs to stay afloat
🔹 Once calm, shout for help or swim to safety
Water safety tips:
✅ Follow warning and safety signs
✅ Let someone know where you’re going if heading out alone
✅ Watch out for slip or trip hazards near water
✅ Stay clear of unstable riverbanks and cliff edges
If someone falls into deep water:
📞 Call 999 immediately

🌊 Never enter the water to try to save someone
