HeadStart Hull is an exciting partnership initiative funded by the Big Lottery Fund.
Over the course of the programme HeadStart Hull aims to “enable young people to have positive mental health and wellbeing, thrive in their community and to be able to bounce back from life’s challenges.”
Your Role with Barnardo’s
Barnardo’s is a key delivery partner of HeadStart Hull’s programme. This is a new post for a Social Worker (half time, term time only) to support the work of the service in delivering evidenced based group work to young people across the North and West localities of Hull.
Your role will involve delivery of some group work and 1-1 support of young people. You will be responsible for supervising and supporting Social Work students and so it is essential that you have a Social Work qualification and are willing to undertake training to become a Practice Educator (if you have not already done so). You will support the work of the two Team Managers and work closely with our Project Workers currently delivering group support.
