Forum are looking for a part-time Data Officer who is interested in working with and processing information that supports and empowers people living in Hull to access community services in their area.
Forum CIO is a charity that offers a range of support, advice and guidance to people who run community groups, charities and social businesses. They also work directly with individuals who may want help to access activities that improve their health, wellbeing and social networks.
They are working with Hull City Council and other partners to build and maintain an online database that gives clear, accessible information about the projects, activities and services offered by the city’s voluntary, community and social enterprise sector. This might be anything from local lunch clubs, sporting activities, self-help groups, language support or cultural groups.
The Data Officer will be responsible for gathering, checking and managing the information
The role is about people’s skills at working with others, getting to know local people and communities and being able to motivate and support them to get involved when needed. You don’t need to have previous experience of working in the voluntary and community sector. What’s more important is an interest and passion in engaging with local communities and groups and organisations.
If you are great at communicating with others and have some great ideas about how to get people involved, this job is for you.
In this role you will have the opportunity to engage with a diverse range of voluntary and community sector groups and organisations across the City and the chance to work with our key partners to make sure that local people get more involved in the things that matter to them.
