Hull City Council is looking for an experienced, skilled, and enthusiastic person to join the Public Health Team. The post holder will be responsible for leading on specific projects, delivery plans and strategic service reviews, working closely with commissioners, service providers, service users and other stakeholders to improve health outcomes for Hull residents.
The purpose of the role is to maintain an overview of service performance and contract compliance, ensuring that data and intelligence is used strategically and directly informs decision making.
This rewarding role will contribute to the development and implementation of the alcohol and drugs partnership strategy and will provide commissioning capacity to manage projects relating to the development, improvement and specification of drug treatment and harm reduction services.
The role requires the post holder to assess local population needs, seek service users’ views, identify interventions and evidence-based practice, and review the service provision in the city. The post holder will be the first point of contact for external providers in relation to the implementation of delivery plans for Public Health funded drug treatment and harm reduction. The post holder will monitor and evaluate outcomes to ensure continued efficiency and effectiveness of commissioned services.
Experience of working systemically to deliver, monitoring and planning quality services to meet performance targets and population needs is required. The post holder will work collaboratively with partners across the city to support the delivery of best possible outcomes for Hull residents.
We are particularly interested in candidates with strong project performance management skills. Although experience in substance misuse services is desirable, not essential.

Full Time Equivalent Salary (based on a 37 hour working week) £37890 – £40876
