Thread and Press CIC, a not for profit arts organisation and have been given funding through The National Lottery Community Fund to provide £1 creative workshops across Hull and online for Hull residents from June to November. The objectives of the project are to:
- Reduce feelings of isolation and promote creativity to support mental health in adults and children across the Kingston-upon-Hull area.
- Provide opportunity to use creativity as a tool to help participants to engage and connect
- To inspire and encourage participation in the arts
The sessions are for residents who live in the Hull area (or if on the East Riding border, they can attend a session within 5km). They are offering one booking per person initially as places are limited and they want as many people to enjoy the project as possible.
Thread and Press are providing very exciting sessions in screenprinting, machine embroidery, felt-making, sewing, painting, mixed-media… all for £1. Places are limited and must be booked by the links provided at https://www.threadandpress.co.uk/creative-humber
