Fake Norton and McAfee Anti-Virus scam emails

Please be aware that there are continual reports of scam emails purporting to be from Norton & McAfee informing you that your Anti-Virus software protection is out of date. This is known as ‘Phishing’ and the scammers want you click on a link within the email and re-subscribe whilst also entering payment details that they will capture at the same time.

If you have received an email like this you can report these phishing attempts directly to Action Fraud Reporting fraud and cyber crime | Action Fraud or you can forward the email onto the National Cyber Security Centre report@phishing.gov.uk 

If you think you may have fallen victim to a scam email please inform your bank and let them know what has happened immediately.
