Humberside Police

Located on the South Promenade, Hornsea (just near the Police station), Hornsea Rescue Day 2017 is a family fun day hosted by Hornsea Inshore Rescue, our local independent lifeboat. You will find over 25 different emergency services and teams on display, triple the size of the event in 2016.

There will be demonstrations, activities, uniforms to try and plenty of vehicles to interact with.

Donkey rides, face-painting, bouncy castles and cart rides by Newfoundland water rescue dogs. K9 Fire Investigation and UK Border Force dogs will also be showing off what they can do.

Services attending include: Hornsea Inshore Rescue, Humberside Police (Hornsea team, CBRN, Wildlife and Rural Crime and more), Humberside Fire and Rescue, British Red Cross Fire Support, HM Coastguard, Yorkshire Lowland Rescue, Yorkshire 4×4 Response, National Coastwatch, UK Border Force, MoD Police, RAF Bomb Disposal, British Divers Marine Life Rescue, WWACCI (Water Rescue Dogs), North East Medical Services, Kingston Upon Hull Voluntary Emergency Service.

Come along for a great day at the Seaside and to see all the emergency services together at the only event of its kind on the East Riding of Yorkshire coast.

The Hornsea Community Policing Team will be at the event with Special Constables, PCSOs and community volunteers at the mobile office with lots of goodies and uniforms to try on, police cars and police cell van for you to sit inside, play with the lights and maybe even hear the sirens.

The Wildlife and Rural Crime 4×4 will be there with the Share the Road campaign along with other specialist teams and kit to see and try on!

The Humberside Police band master and community cohesion officer will be playing his bagpipes and bringing along one of our fantastic Pride in Hull police cars.

Come on down and show your support and help raise some funds for some fantastic local charities including the hosts of the event, Hornsea Inshore Rescue.
