Hull and East Yorkshire Mind is a local charity helping people with mental health problems live fulfilling and independent lives. With growing demand for their services, they need more people to join their motivated and skilled staff team to help us deliver the best support.
Community Support Worker
£15,261 per annum, 37 hours per week – based in Hull
This is an ideal ‘stepping stone’ for someone who wishes to move into a role supporting vulnerable adults but doesn’t have much experience.
The post holder will mainly be based in one of their supported houses in West Hull which is operated 24/7. This role involves supporting clients in collaboration with colleagues, ensuring their houses are maintained to a high standard and some administration. Health and Safety of their properties is a high priority and the post holder acts as a point of contact for residents and other callers.
You must be confident in dealing autonomously with challenging situations and out-of-hours enquiries.
Hours will be worked on a rolling shift basis to include nights, weekends and public holidays.
Vocational Support Worker (fixed term contract to June 2019)
£21,210 per annum, 37 hours per week – Based in Hull
Using your previous vocational support experience you will work with people who access our services to break down barriers to employment and other vocational activities. You will provide both one to one support and deliver workshops. Some travel will be required therefore applicants must have a full driving current driving licence and access to their own transport for work purposes. Hours of work may be between the hours of 8.00am until 8.00pm Monday to Friday with some weekend, bank holiday and evening working.
