Officers have arrested a woman following an incident on Newland Avenue, Hull on Thursday 6 October.
It was reported that two men had entered a jeweller’s shop at around 10:50am whilst carrying bladed weapons. Thankfully, no injuries were reported, and the men fled the scene as officers were called.
A 56-year-old woman has been arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender and remained in police custody whilst officers continued with lines of enquiries.
Inspector David Lonsdale said: “Investigations are ongoing to identify the two men involved and officers are continuing to patrol the area providing reassurance and engaging with the local community.
