Hull: Does your child love cycling or want to start cycling?

Does your child love cycling or want to start cycling?

Did they get a new bike for Christmas?

Kingswood Cycle Club are starting a new exciting GoRide kids program. The 1st block of sessions start on Saturday 20th January 2018 and runs for 6 weeks.

What is Go-Ride?

Go-Ride is British Cycling’s development programme for young people.
The programme provides a fun and safe way to introduce young riders to the world of cycling and provides a platform to improve bike handling skills.
Through its qualified, DBS checked coaches, Kingswood Cycle Club will run weekly coaching sessions in school term time.
Sessions will be run between 10am and 11am on a Saturday Morning.

The location will be at Ennerdale cycle track and cost £2.00 per child. This will be limited to 20 children per session.

The sessions are aimed at riders who want to improve and enhance their existing bike skills by introducing, group riding, eating & drinking whilst riding, a variety of balance and coordination drills, race tactics and games. The aim is to be supportive and encourage riders to meet their full potential.

The format will be 55 minutes structured coaching following the successful British Cycling national Coaching program, delivered by qualified British Cycling Coaches. This will be followed by a mini crit race around the circuit.

Riders must bring a bike (road, hybrid or MTB), a cycle helmet, gloves and a drink. It is important to wear appropriate clothing (including gloves) for the weather conditions and suitable shoes such as trainers. No sandals or flip flops. At the start of each session a bike check will be performed to ensure the safety of all those taking part to maintain the overall enjoyment of all.
