Man wearing distinctive jacket wanted in connection with Hull robbery on St Georges Road
10th January 2018Hull: Does your child love cycling or want to start cycling?
10th January 2018Do you live in or around Anlaby?
EMS are pleased to be working with the Anlaby Communities Trust (ACT) on a great new initiative – a community garden and food growing project, using land next to St Mark’s Church, Anlaby Common, and would be extremely grateful if you could spare a couple of minutes to complete a brief questionnaire to help inform the development of the garden space. You can do this on-line at https://www.surveymonkey.co.uk/r/9RZYRMC
ACT (the social action arm of St Peter’s and St Mark’s churches, Anlaby) serves its local communities through education, youth work and relief of need and hopes that the garden will be a resource for the community, somewhere for local people and groups to come together, grow things, learn and socialise together.
A lot of work has taken place since summer 2017 to transform the neglected patch by clearing it, and a small group of volunteers have planted a small area to start things off.
If you would like to know more about the project, are interested in visiting the garden, or might be able to help in some way – from advising to gardening to path-laying! – don’t hesitate to get in touch by messaging ACT’s Facebook page @anlabycommunitiestrust or emailing acthu104@outlook.com.
Many thanks!
