On Thursday the 30th of April, the Humber Modern Slavery Partnership, based at the Wilberforce Institute, University of Hull, along with Forum CIO and Community VISION will be holding a modern slavery training and knowledge exchange event for the voluntary, community, faith and social enterprise sector across Hull and East Riding in the ground floor event space at Princess Quay, Hull.
This event will give attendees an overview of modern slavery and how it manifests in our area.
The day will include sessions by the Humberside Police modern slavery team, the children’s refugee and asylum seeker team at Hull City Council, and a session on cuckooing by East Riding Safeguarding Adults Board.
There will be an interactive workshop and dedicated market stall area for organisations who wish to share their work/information/advice/support with the wider VCFSE sector.
Lunch and refreshments will also be provided.
