Deadline 10th May
Calling all jazz musicians, bands, collectives, music creators, artists and creative producers!
Following a successful bid to the DCMS Culture Recovery Fund, Hull Jazz Festival announce a new commissioning opportunity.
The Kickstart Commissions are all about looking forward to more positive times and exploring stories that define a sense of place and embody the spirit of jazz and improvised music.
They want to support music creators, artists and producers to create new work, inspired by Hull and the North’s sense of place, that brings meaningful, joyful experiences to audiences.
If you’ve got an idea for a great new project that you’d like to bring to Hull Jazz Festival, they want to hear from you!
What can they offer?
Hull Jazz Festival can contribute between £700 and £4,000, depending on project needs, as well as mentoring, practical support and guidance and a premiere performance at an official HJF event.
The successful commissions and residencies will be ready for performance between July 2021 through until July 2023.
