This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a new national pilot called the Whole School Approach. Initially this is a pilot scheme to be delivered in four named schools within the East Riding of Yorkshire but the hope is to secure further funding and roll out to more schools over the next 2-3 years.
Using your experience of working with children, young people and adults who have a wide range of mental health conditions, you will support the delivery of one to one and peer coaching sessions with young people, parents and school staff. You will also facilitate a range of wellbeing workshops to enable children and young people, parents or staff to develop new life skills, improve mental wellbeing and ultimately create stronger school communities.
Good interpersonal skills and experience of delivering group and one to one support work in a mental health related field will be key to the success of this role. You should also be competent in the use of IT systems.
Applicants must have a full current driving license and access to a motor vehicle for work purposes as travel will be required.
