Hull: Woman charged with eight counts of theft after trying to cycle away from officers

A 36-year-old woman has been charged with numerous counts of shop theft dating back to 2018 following a pursuit by proactive officers in Hull.

Philippa Hasnip from Newholme Close was spotted on Springfield Way on Monday 6 January. When she saw officers she tried to ride away on a push bike, but officers gave chase and caught her.

She has subsequently been charged with eight counts of the theft of alcohol and make-up from supermarkets in Willerby and Kingswood between May 2018 and October 2019.

Philippa Hasnip was due to appear before Hull Magistrates Court today.
