21st October 2019Six arrested following disorder in Hull

Six men have been arrested on Sunday 20th October after a fight ensued on Freehold Street.
Reports were received at around 1.20pm of a disturbance in the street between a group of men.
Emergency services quickly attended and six men were identified to have been involved in the disturbance.
All six were arrested on suspicion of varying offences including affray, assault and disorder, with three of them being taken to hospital.
The injuries sustained are not believed to be serious at this time.
Chief Inspector Lee Edwards said: “A number of enquiries, including house to house, have already been undertaken with officers at the scene and crime scene investigators also in attendance.
“We are in the very early stages of the investigation, however we do believe all those involved are known to each other. A vehicle has also been seized as part of the investigation as well as various items including a knuckleduster and part of a snooker cue.
“There has been a high visibility police presence in the area this afternoon, which will continue this evening and overnight to provide reassurance to the local community.
“We would ask anyone who believes they have any information, or who may have witnessed the incident and who may have not yet spoken to us, to please get in touch either on 101, or anonymously by calling the charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.”
