21st February 2020This Girl Can – Community Fund
The This Girl Can Community Fund are looking to support a wide range of ideas – from those that just need a few hundred pounds, to larger projects nearer £10,000. We may be able to support a few exceptional projects with funding above this level. We believe that you’re best placed to tell us what’s needed in your community. So, we invite you to share your ideas of how to get more local women more active.
Who do we want to hear from?
We want to hear from not-for-profit organisations, voluntary or community clubs, registered charities or community interest companies. We will also review ideas from individuals who’d like funding for a group activity which isn’t for individual gain. Organisations established to make a profit can get involved provided the project doesn’t realise a distributable profit. We’d also be interested to hear from other social enterprises and schools or statutory bodies.
What do we want to fund?
Activities that get women’s heart rate up, whatever form that may take: from Bollywood dance and walking to boxing and yoga. Our decisions on which ideas to support will be based on the difference that can be made with the funding rather than the items or services bought with it.
What impact do we hope your project will have?
We welcome ideas with a short-term focus as well as those which will provide longer-term support to help women achieve sustainable behaviour change.
What are the next steps?
Please use the below form to summarise your big idea. The deadline for submissions is 25 February 2020. We’ll be in touch within 8 weeks of your idea submission and if your idea is successful, you’ll be invited to submit more information.
We have limited funds and if we can’t support your project, we’ll tell you why.
