Job Role

To be considered for this role you must have experience of working in a community setting with a wide range of people and organisations.

The role of TimeBank Broker (Individual Membership and Events Co-ordinator) has 5 key areas of activity:

  1. Membership: Managing all aspects of individual membership of the TimeBank from initial sign up, to first exchanges with other members.
  1. Events and Group Activities: Facilitating the development of special interest groups with members and organising regular events (including welcome events and repair cafes) in locations across Hull and East Riding.
  1. Hubs: Hosting drop ins for members in locations across Hull and East Riding.
  1. TimeBank Ambassador Programme: Recruiting and supporting timebank ambassadors whose roles include promoting the timebank in their location, hosting local events and hosting special interest groups within geographical hubs.
  1. Communicating with Members: Using timebanking software, social media and newsletters to engage with membership and maintain interest.

Collaborating with other members of the team in projects which promote timebanking and broader aspects of mutual aid.

They are looking for someone with an enquiring mind who is down to earth, practical and who has a positive, solution focussed attitude. You must be committed to delivering high standards in your work and be highly organised and efficient.

Knowledge and passion around collaborative and sharing economies would be an advantage.

You must have a vehicle that is reliable and insured for business purposes and a full UK driving licence.

They are a small team so being willing to muck in and be flexible about working hours is essential (they often have evening and weekend events).

Please note the recruitment process takes place over two sessions on separate dates: a group session with the shortlisted candidates followed by a one to one interview.
