Cornerhouse and The Warren are working together to deliver an exciting new project working with vulnerable young people in Hull.

If enjoy challenge and working in an innovative and creative way with young people then this is the job for you. There are four posts available of 20 hours per week.

The main purpose of the job is to support young people to address risk taking behaviour and its impact on the wider community in order to reduce young people’s vulnerability to anti-social behaviour, engagement in offending, substance misuse, sexual exploitation, and to promote positive health and increase community cohesion.

This role requires working with young people using a street based outreach approach throughout Hull.

The main responsibilities of the role:

  • The post holder will work as part of a team in order to make contact with young people engaged in activity that increases their vulnerability particularly those young people who are not currently accessing mainstream service interventions.
  • The post holder will respond swiftly to intelligence relating to risk taking behaviour and disorder by working in areas recognised as ‘hot spots’ for risk taking behaviour.
  • The post holder will target and identify young people engaged in risk taking behaviour and related disorder to identify their needs and introduce and promote new opportunities and experiences.
  • To undertake needs-led interventions for young people engaged in risk taking behaviour and related disorder, and where appropriate to refer them on to other services.


Delivery will include working shifts during the day, evenings and some weekends.
