8th May 2020Hull: Showcasing the great work EMS are doing at the East Hull Food Hub
The team behind EMS (Environmental Management Solutions) who are located in East Hull are doing remarkable work for the East of the city and have stepped up helping people in the current crisis. We couldn’t let this time pass without shouting about the fantastic work they are doing. Read on to find out more.
”We were appointed as the East Hull Food Hub at the start of lockdown and since we have been in operation we have sent out over 500 food parcels for the East Hull Area.
We are a small team but we have volunteers who come in daily to help us pack the parcels and deliver them out. This is thanks to HCC, Humberside Fire Service and Heather who have been out making deliveries every day for us.
Also Kirsti & Juila who split the week between themselves to make up the parcels.
Without the support of all these guys we would struggle to help all those in need.
If anyone who is vulnerable or isolated and in need of a food parcel, they can call the council on 300307 and the referrals then come through to us within the area and we get those out the same day if possible.
We are still also making the Freedom Food Meals which are available to anyone for £2 and these can feed up to a family of four! All you need to do is look out for the menu on our FB / twitter page.
We have been very thankful to companies and the general public offering boxes, food, toiletries etc.
Becky, Jan, Andy, John, Paul & Nick would like to thank everyone for their continued support through this difficult time.”
