22nd September 2023Man arrested following burglary in Hull
A 23-year-old man has been arrested following a burglary on Hardane Close in Hull in the early hours of yesterday morning (Tuesday 19 September).
Police were called at approximately 3.50am to reports that a car had been in collision with a parked van on Cottingham Road before the vehicle is believed to have fled the scene along Hall Road.
Following a call from a member of the public shortly after, officers located the vehicle on Elgar Road which is believed to have been stolen from an address on Hardane Close earlier that day.
Officers conducted lines of enquiries and a 23-year-old man was arrested at a property on Elgar Road on suspicion of theft of a motor vehicle and burglary.
He has since been released on conditional bail whilst investigations continue.
Enquiries are ongoing and police would appeal to anyone with any information, CCTV or dashcam footage in the areas of Hardane Close, Elgar Road and Cottingham Road, that may assist with enquiries, to please contact them on their non-emergency number 101, quoting log 35 of 19 September.
