Hull: Your feedback on volunteering or being helped by volunteers is needed.
19th February 2021Your chance to give feedback on the response Hull partners have had on the pandemic locally!
One of the things that has been evident over the past year has been the value of the contribution of the local voluntary and community sector in the Citywide response to the pandemic. Forum have recognised this as an opportunity to start to think about how partners such as Hull City Council and NHS Hull Clinical Commissioning Group can start to develop new relationships with the voluntary and community sector.
To develop this commitment, Forum have established a new programme of work called Building Forward Together.
The Building Forward Together Programme is looking at four key areas of joint working:
- Commissioning, investment and sustainability (including future grant programmes and partnership working)
- Volunteering
- Workforce
- Support and development (including making sure that all groups and organisations get the right support in order to continue what they do or to develop new ideas that will make a big difference)
In order to make sure that all of this reflects the huge range of groups and organisations across the City, they will be holding an engagement event for community organisations, so that you will have a chance to hear about the work to date and provide some feedback from a voluntary and community sector perspective.
This will take place virtually via Zoom as follows:
Date: Wednesday 10 March 2021
Time: 2 pm to 3.30 pm
If you are interested in attending please email Gail Baines, Operations Manager on gail@nbforum.org.uk. Gail will then forward you the invite to the event.
If you have any questions before then, please do not hesitate to contact jason@nbforum.org.uk.
