The Neighbourhood Network is pleased to announce they have been funded by Heart Research UK to help local residents look after their heart health.
Are you worried about your heart health?
Do you want help in making some positive changes to your health and wellbeing?
Would you be willing to commit to a FREE 12-week exercise and wellbeing programme?
If you have answered yes to any of the above questions, then why not apply for a place on our FREE HU7 Healthy Hearts 12-week programme.

The ‘HU7 Healthy Hearts Project’ is aiming to reduce the risk of heart disease in adults living in the HU7 area of Hull. This will be done through a planned series of activities improving people’s health and wellbeing. The activities will have additional benefits of long-term education and intergenerational connections that encourage all within a family to understand the benefits of having a healthy heart.
The first of two 12-week programmes will be run from September – December and we are looking for 20 people to take part in the activity programme. Participants can range from 18 to 80 and include family members, couples, friends, and individuals living in the HU7 area of Hull.
Participants would need to be available to take part in two weekly fitness sessions and a weekly cooking session at the Alf Marshall Community Centre at the following times:
Fitness : Wednesday 10am-11am or Saturday morning 9.15am-10am or 10.15am-11.15am.
Cooking Class: Thursday evening 6.30pm-8.30pm, this session will also incorporate some form of exercise.
There will also be the opportunity to take part in talking therapy and educational training sessions based on participants needs.
