28th May 2021Hull: Men in Sheds seek Trustees
Are you interested in supporting a crucial local charity to grow and prosper? Men in Sheds Hull was established in 2014 to support socially isolated individuals, predominately men, to get together and undertake practical activities. The majority of the members are retired and over the age of 65. The Shed provides the tools and resources the men need to work on projects of their choosing, at their own pace, in a safe and inclusive environment. The charity also organises social events such as trips to museums, factories and days out. Talks on health and well-being are held at the Shed for members to attend, as well as external health events at other organisations.
Men in Sheds has a number of vacancies for new trustees and are looking for individuals with skills in governance, HR, fundraising, finance, and health and wellbeing. The board of trustees meets on a monthly basis for approximately two hours outside of normal office hours. If you would like to know more or would like to express an interest please email or call Donna Jackson for an informal chat on 07428 731912.
