9th December 2020ERVAS launch new FraudWatch project
ERVAS are looking to introduce you to their new project FraudWatch (previously known as War on Scams). This is a project set up to share information about the latest fraud and cybercrime taking place in your area. As part of the project they will provide training and alerts to help raise awareness of the current fraud and cybercrime tactics.
ERVAS are looking to increase the project membership of Neighbourhood Watch Groups, anyone can become a member of Fraud Watch. All that is asked is that you are able to work with others to share key updates within your communities and provide feedback to them in order to help raise awareness of fraud and cybercrime.
By registering a local FraudWatch group you take the first step to making your community feel safer from fraudsters and cyber criminals. All groups will gain access to regular information and campaign updates, support to run your local group, regular bulletins and training updates and be more equipped to share details of fraud and cybercrime within your local community.
How do I join?
You can join the FraudWatch project as a group or as an individual volunteer. Alternatively you can set up a new dedicated FraudWatch group, register an existing Neighbourhood Watch group to gain FraudWatch status, or make a pledge of support from your organisation.
