The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra have been back at the Alf Marshall Centre supporting Stroke survivers through the joy of music!
Strokestra is a non-clinical group that brings stroke survivors and professional musicians together to take part in a range of fun musical activities. The activities bring social, emotional, cognitive, physical, and communication benefits whilst creating their Orchestral pieces.
On Friday 28th of July at 2pm, the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra & the Strokestra team hosted their grand final performance at North Point Shopping Centre. There was a great turnout, as there was crowds of people turning up to watch the performance, and overall, it was a great success!
They will be featured on BBC Look North tonight at 6:30pm, giving you an insight into the Strokestra programme and the positive impact it has on participants.
