Hull CVS 40th Anniversary Funday19th October 2022
For the last few years Hull City Council have appealed for unwanted children’s Christmas jumpers to help divert textiles from Hull’s wheelie bins and to help local families in the run up to Christmas. They know Christmas is an added financial pressure in these times and with the popular Christmas Jumper days they wanted to help make sure all children can take part in the celebrations.
In previous years, they have collected around 60 jumpers and taken them to schools in the Love Your Street priority areas and this year, with rising costs across the board, we would like to make this our biggest collection yet.
Beercocks, the estate agents and now Hull CVS have offered to be a collection point for the Christmas Jumpers.
The National ‘Save the Children’ Christmas Jumper day is planned for Thursday 8th December 2022, Hull City Council will be looking at closing collections on the 30th November to ensure they can sort and distribute in time.
If you wish to donate your Christmas Jumper at Hull CVS do so at;
The Strand, 75 Beverley Road, Hull between 10am – 4pm Monday to Friday.
