Thorngumbald: Bike stolen in robbery

Did you see a robbery on Thorne Road, Thorngumbald at around 5am on Sunday 6 May?

It was reported that two teenage boys were sitting near the village sign when they were approached by a man who spoke to them.

The man walked away before returning a short while later. He allegedly assaulted one of the teenagers before stealing his bike (pictured below) and cycling away.

The teenager suffered what are believed to be minor injuries. 

The man is described as aged late 30s to early 40s, around 6ft tall of stocky build with short black hair and stubble on his face. He was wearing a dark coloured t-shirt and black jeans. He spoke with a local accent.
