We are pleased to let you know that we will shortly be holding another one of our very successful and informative Cancer Champion Awareness sessions presented by Emma Lewin from the Cancer Champion team at Humber, Coast and Vale Cancer Alliance. The session aims to save lives by promoting healthy lifestyle choices and encourage early detection of cancer.
The free 90-minute online awareness session teaches people about the key facts, statistics, symptoms, and screenings which are linked to several cancers.
The friendly session will take place Tuesday 5th October at 10.00am.
Early diagnosis is vital and can save lives, the Neighbourhood Network team wants to help raise awareness and bring the signs and symptoms to the forefront of everyone’s minds. Statistics state that 1 in 2 people will be diagnosed with cancer in a lifetime, due to Covid-19 the NHS has also seen a reduction in cancer referrals.
If you want to better understand and learn about the different signs and symptoms of cancer, then join the team for a friendly and informal chat to become more cancer aware.
