Thirty-two vehicles checked and man arrested following Rural Task Force roadside checks

The Rural Task Force, in partnership with the Humberside Police’s Roads Policing Team, Community Teams, East Riding of Yorkshire Council Waste Management Team and the National Caravan Council Vehicle Examiners joined forces in a day of action conducting roadside checks as part of Operation Coastline.

A total of 32 vehicle checks were made resulting in drugs being seized, a traffic offence record issued for an insecure load, and one DVLA ticket issued for failing to notify DVLA of change of keeper.

A 31-year-old man was also arrested on suspicion of driving whilst under the influence of drugs and has since been released on bail pending further investigation.
