29th April 2022Mental Health Awareness Week – 9th to15th May 2022
This year’s theme is Loneliness. Loneliness is affecting more and more of us in the UK and has had a huge impact on our physical and mental health during the pandemic. Our connection to other people and our community is fundamental to protecting our mental health and we need to find better ways of tackling the epidemic of loneliness. We can all play a part in this.
In the lead up to Mental Health Awareness Week and throughout the week, Hull and East Yorkshire Mind will be sharing resources on their website and social media channels, in partnership with East Riding of Yorkshire Council.
The organisations will be raising awareness of the impact of loneliness on our mental health and the practical steps we can take to address it. The campaign forms part of the Healthy Minds East Riding campaign – a campaign to promote positive mental health across the East Riding.
Throughout the week itself, Hull and East Yorkshire Mind will be busy on social media raising awareness. They will also be at various locations across the East Riding spreading the word about they we do. Keep an eye out on their social media channels in the coming weeks for more information.
